This is our little darling in her ring sling.?? Actually Braxtyn’s ring sling that Brooke is letting me borrow.?? I tried Maya pouches, slings from Babies R Us, Baby Bjourns…you name it and I think this ring sling is by far the best.?? I would buy one but so far I like Brook’s fabric the best and she doesn’t remember where she got it.?? My cousin Lorene is selling them (at least they look the same) on her business website www.frogmama.com.?? I just love this expression on her face.?? Eyebrows raised, pursed lips…looks like she is just my little Queen expecting the best from mama.?? I love this picture.
Sleeping with dad…awwww.?? I am trying to post pictures every day if I can because Sweetie and Papa still can’t be around her.?? They both had bad colds and now have a residual cough.?? Sweetie called her Dr. to see if she could be around Tori as we doubt she is still contagious.?? The Doctor said “NO”.?? He said NO ONE with a residual cough can be around a premature infant.?? Coughing spreads too many germs that the baby may not be able to manage – contagious with a current infection or not.?? I don’t want Sweetie to miss out and I want her to see her outfits every day right now LOL.?? I need my mama!
Tanner still wants to be wherever Tori is.?? Even if I am holding her, he is often nearby touching her hands.?? He is a W O N D E R F U L big brother!
Ty wakes up every morning and looks for her.?? He usually calls her by her full name, “Tori Savannah”.?? When I had her in the sling yesterday I told him I was a mama kangaroo with a little roo in my pouch.?? Later when she was out of it Ty said “Is she not a kangaroo anymore?”?? 🙂
Thought those feet in that preemie outfit looked so big on her – had to take a picture.

She really LOVES her bath.?? She actually fell asleep in the bowl yesterday.
I love this picture…so sweet.?? Looks like she is gaining a little bit in her face to me.?? Filling out just a tad.?? Note to Mom:?? Do you see what I mean by the lines under her eyes like her eyes are a bit swollen??? It’s probably just weight gain.

Going to try to take “size” pictures tonight.?? You can’t tell how little she is in video or pictures because you have nothing to compare to.?? I have a few ideas in mind that might help.?? Will try to get those done and posted by tomorrow.
I am not getting a whole lot of time to do anything because she is wanting to eat every hour and a half.?? The problem is, her tummy is too little to take very much (between 1 and 2 ounces) but she wants more than that.?? I am trying to make her wait the 2 hours for both our sakes but she doesn’t care for that plan – AT ALL.?? Daddy has her right now but I miss her so off I go.

ps – anxious to hear how you do with a sling. i thought i would LOVE mine, but it put too much weight only to one side of my body and made my back hurt… wish there was a sling that distributed weight equally on both sides AND hips. 🙂
I will check out your cousin’s website – but will you let me know if that sling continues to work out well with Tori and what the name of it is? I have been looking for a sling that works well with preemies for my medical foster babies (although I don’t currently have one now, hopefully we will soon.) I have tried 4 or 5 different kinds, but none that are great. Thanks!
Shauna – Brooke bought the sling above off the web but she has no idea where. My cousins look almost identical to the one I have (except for the pattern). I’ll take a picture of the whole thing and post it. The thing I didn’t like about the Maya pouch and the Babies R Us sling is that the baby just didn’t fit in it well. It was like I “lost baby”. This one feels more adjustable because there is a lot of fabric to work with and tighten up. There is no bulky padding that gets in the way either. Also, for those that nurse, the long tail can be used as a cover up. Baby Bjourns are nice but personally I like baby to be able to lay in a sleeping position. I have been using it while at my computer so I can type and she can sleep.
Heidi – it will probably hurt my back and shoulders too if I wear it alot or carry her around for a long time but I have a really weak back. For now I like it for computer time so I am just sitting anyway.

it would be great for computer time when you want to have her close but not have to fully support her weight with your hands.
i noticed on their site that there are some things similar to the bjorn but a little more natural and spreading the weight out a little more evenly… i also liked the wrap ones… reminds me of photos from warren’s trip to africa a few years back – where little kids carried their baby brothers or sisters on their backs! 🙂

Hi Doni! I was very excited to hear about the baby girl! Mom told me all about it when I called her and forwarded me the announcement email. So pretty! Maybe I can meet them next time I’m home?
