Quick update on Ty’s drug situation. I was able to get the drugs Ty needed today for one reason…because SOMEONE stepped up to the plate for me. Our local pharmacy (non compound shop) referred me to a brand new compound shop within 10 miles from my home. Out of desperation, I asked the Dr. to have Ty’s refills filled at this shop without even checking to see if this new shop could make them. I was out of time and had to make a decision. I had no expectation that the new shop would actually be able to make it for me over the weekend and was at a loss as to what to do. You prayed for me though and God answered.
I went and visited with this new pharmacist this morning and I fell in love! She is awesome! Here are a few reasons why she earned my loyalty so quickly:
(1) Understanding the urgency of my situation, she accepted a last minute order. This is rare especially considering I had never had any drugs filled at her location before.
(2) She told me she would call me this morning when they were ready. She DID.
(3) She was very thorough in her explanation of how to administer the drugs. Of course, I already knew this info but I was still pleased with her explanation and I noticed that she took the time to say it without assuming I knew what I was doing.
(4) She put syringe tops on the bottle because she figured it would be more helpful for me. It IS.
(5) She not only flavored both meds for Ty but she took the time to figure out which medicines would cover the drug flavors the best! That is going the extra mile for a baby. She also worked with one of my compounds to concentrate it better. The end result was Ty having to take only a quarter of what he was required to take before!
(6) I told her about my previous frustrations and she told me that I never need to worry again. She said she would never put a baby at risk and that if she had to drive to my house with a drug she would.
(7) And this was the biggie….she said that if we ever run into a paperwork or prescription refill issue that cannot be fixed immediately, she would give me a 2 or 3 day supply to get the baby through the interval until the issue could be addressed!!!!!!!!! I can’t emphasize this point enough!
This is a woman of compassion who does what is right. She CARES and will not be limited by the “box” when a child’s health is on the line. She is my hero!
Thank you so much for praying for a solution for us. God answered abundantly didn’t He?
If you live in the Phoenix area and want to know who this awesome pharmacist is and where she is located, email me and I’ll send her info on to you! Even if you have to drive out of your way a bit to get to her, you’ll thank me in an emergency!
Oh happy day!!!

Thank you Lord! This is an awesome woman who could teach MANY about TRUE customer service – it’s a way of life, not a department. 🙂 WELL DONE!
