I apologize ahead of time if this post takes a minute to upload.?? I am posting 12 nursery pictures and I don’t usually post that many at a time.??
So here is Tori’s nursery….taaaadaaaaaa…..
These pictures were difficult to take because Tori’s room is pretty tiny and I had to use my wide angle lens (a lens I happen to hate).?? I’ll provide a little running commentary as I post pictures.?? The nursery design was done by mommy!?? I got online and found the fabrics I wanted and then used photoshop to “draw” it all out.?? I pieced the comforter together in picture squares and even made a template of how the walls were to be painted.?? My Mother in Love did an AWESOME job working out my design.?? I am so proud of her!
The topiary in the corner of the room was hand crafted for Tori by Aunt Jodi.?? This topiary inspired me when creating her mobile.???? I first wanted to hang polka dots.?? Then I wanted to use nursery fabric to make patchwork hanging balls.?? After I saw the topiary though, I knew that would be the perfect idea for the mobile.?? I actually made 2 fan pulls this way as well as you may notice in a few of these pictures.?? Tori loves to look at all those pretty ribbons!?? She isn’t actually sleeping in her room yet but I have laid her in the crib for a moment to just enjoy it LOL!
Here is a better view of the comforter.?? My MIL’s friend, Mrs. Quijada helped with a lot of the sewing (THANK YOU Mrs. Quijada).?? Sewn??by my MIL:?? Bumper Pads, Diaper Changing Cover, Pillows, Comforter, Crib Skirt, and Curtains.
??
At the moment you can’t see the crib skirt super well because the crib mattress is high.?? When Tori gets a bit bigger and we lower the mattress, the crib skirt will touch the floor and get more attention.??
I am SO in love with the curtains!!!?? Aren’t they GORGEOUS??? You can just barely see the fan pulls in the upper left of this picture too.?? :)?? I spray painted the rocker white and the blanket draped on it is another blanket made for Tori by her Grandma.?? I also hung pictures of Tori with ribbon though you can’t see the picture that is hanging due to the reflection (which is actually good because it is a really cute picture that I haven’t posted yet).?? ๐
Do you know it is actually quite difficult to decide on a polka dot pattern especially if you are mixing sizes and colors??? We were pretty stumped about this and I had about 8 different patterns created.?? We narrowed down to this one.
That door is to Tori’s walk in closet and you’ll notice my favorite picture of Tori to date hanging on the wall.
Several things to note here:?? The changing table is really cool.?? I bought it from a store in Scottsdale before Tanner was born.?? The table comes out so that you can change baby facing you instead of side ways which I prefer.?? It converts to a book shelf when you no longer need it.?? The diaper pad was made to be reversible as were the bumper pads so I can turn them over and add more pink to the room if I want.?? I decorated the baby wipe box with ribbon from the room and painted that bucket pink and added ribbon and bow embellishment.?? On the left is her bow board that I made so that her pretty little bows won’t get crushed.?? On the shelf is:?? several hats stuffed with crepe paper, a malted strawberry/chocolate malt ball filled vase (polka dot arrangement), flowers from church on the right, flower arrangement made by my MIL in the left corner, the “Tori” name board that Aunt Jodi made, and a pretty pink polka bag from my friend Stephanie (her mom made it).?? It’s too pretty to use right now:).?? Those dang polka dots keep disappearing though because Papa and Daddy have no respect for my candy arrangement!?? ๐
A closer view of a few things on the shelf and the fan that you didn’t get to see in the other pictures.
Soooooo….what do you think??? I love this room so much it makes me want to cry just to look at it!!!!!?? I looked at a lot of pink/brown polka rooms online and just couldn’t find anything that was “me”.?? When this room was done, I knew we had captured exactly what we hoped for and I am so so so happy with it!?? Turned out better than I dreamed it would!

ABSOLUTELY DREAMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ALL DID BEAUTIFUL WORK TOGETHER!!!! OH MY GOODNESSS!!!!!!!!! Your pictures make me SO want to nest. ๐
That room is gorgeous. I have 2 nieces to spoil and have gotten into making them the pink and chocolate brown outfits and hats. I only wish their mums would let me do their rooms as well.
You are so creative..I love hername on the brown border as well.
So AMAZING, really as beautiful as Tori. She is very lucky to have such loving people to give her such a wonderful room all her own. She is going to love it. Great job.
Soooooooooo pretty!!!!!!!!
LOVE IT! You all did a fabulous job. This is definitely a precious nursery but will also “grow” with her. Just perfect!
Love it, love it! You guys did an awesome job! Can I just tell you how much work your MIL did for you – holy moly, lots and lots and lots and lots. She is very good to you ๐ but you deserve it! You should both be very proud of this gorgeous room.
And by the way, you must tell me where you got all of your pink and brown fabrics, they are very hard to find as I’m sure you found out. love them all!
What are the wall colors? its hard to tell in the picture. Is it pink on top and bottom of the brown stripe? Also, love the name in the brown. Did you use a stencil? and what kind of wipe case did you use. I have never seen one so fancy ๐ love love the painted bucket too. Oh and you (pr Jodi) are going to have to show me how to do the ribbon balls. ok, I’ll stop rambling now….
She IS good to me:).
I found the fabrics on fabric.com but the brown with pink polka was on back order so I had to order that one elsewhere. The walls are two tones of pink. A darker under the brown border and a lighter above it. I ordered the name stencil from the Yankee Stencil Company and that was done in a pink glaze. As for the wipe case, it was just a huggies one and I just hot glued ribbon to it:). Believe me – it was simple – it had to be – that’s about all I am good for! LOL. The ribbon balls that Jodi did were straight pinned to a foam ball. Because my ribbon balls were hanging from a mobile in her crib I couldn’t use straight pins so I had to cut 2.5 inch strips and hot glue them. That was more difficult than the pins but I couldn’t take the risk that one would fall out in her crib.
Thank you for all the fun comments on this nursery! I am “eating it up” LOL. And for the record, the pictures didn’t do the room justice. These pictures look overexposed to me because of the time of day I was shooting and the lens that I dislike. The colors look muted in the pictures but the room is QUITE pink! ๐
And note to Michelle should she see this comment: the brown border was painted on. Sarah used a leveler and then taped it off. ๐
Doni, it is beautiful!!! What an awesome room for a little princess!!!! Great job!!!
Very Beautiful!!!!!
How could anything be so beautiful–just perfect for your beautiful daughter!! Did I mention
that I love the boys pictures too!! They are too funny.
