Tanner

Tanner is working on his Explode the Code for a few minutes so I thought I would take the opportunity to blog.?? I have soooo much to do this week and am being rather indulgent by using this moment to blog.?? Clearly I care not at the moment.

My boys sure are different!?? Recently we went out to Table Mesa to drive Tanner’s quad.?? While out there, I felt like such a red neck mom.?? I had my baby strapped to me in her wrap, Tanner’s baseball cap on my head (amazing that it fits me…do I have a small head or he a large one…Heidi..remember this conversation about Jason and Seth?)…and I was sitting in the dirt with Ty in my lap (yes that makes two kids in my lap), shooting a BB gun at a white box.

Tanner and Ty were taking turns and after every “Ty” shot he would say “ALMOST” despite the fact he was a 1/2 mile off target.?? Tanner, however, resorted to crying.?? He hit the target everytime so I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what the frustration was all about.?? Turns out he was aiming for the fine print on the box.?? Figures.?? :)?? His two top teeth are growing in and he just looks older by the day.??

In the picture above it appears that Tanner is aggravating Ty but often it is the other way around.?? When Tanner had “the spots”, Ty overheard Tanner worrying about whether his face was puffy or not.?? Ty took that in and a bit later approached him saying in a serious little voice “Tanner your face is puffy puffy puffy”.?? Tanner was NOT happy.?? Ty was.?? 🙂

Tori had her 4 month immunizations on her 4 month birthday.?? She weighed 12 pounds 6 ounces (25th percentile) and was 23.75 inches long (25th percentile) – which Jim and I both agree was a bit of an exaggeration of her length.?? :)?? She is still primarily wearing 0 to 3 month.?? She is not rolling over yet but she is playing with toys.?? She is really liking her soft chew book right now.?? Her fine motor skills aren’t great but they are good enough to help her grasp what she wants and she is proving to be pretty determined.?? She was trying so hard to get the remote out of my hands this weekend.?? Leaning as far as she could out of daddy’s arms and reaching reaching reaching.?? I finally gave it to her and she got it straight to her mouth.?? Don’t know what I think about another child fighting for the remote control.?? This could be a bad sign.?? 🙂

Also noticing that she is really eyeing my food.?? Time to start cereal this week!?? She is also mastering the art of high pitched screaming when she is angry.?? Temper temper temper.

Upcoming:

I am finished with Amanda’s pregnancy pictures and she gave me permission to post some….I really love them.?? Not sure if I will get any posted this week but that is my goal.

* Remember when I blogged about my wonderful experience with the wet/dry vac on the vomit??? Well….sigh…did you know that wet/dry vac’s have suction and BLOW options????? I know what you are thinking…how did I possibly miss that??? Isn’t that the question of the year.?? When the water was blowing all over my legs I just figured that there was so much water sitting on the top of the carpet that the high pressure suction was spraying some of it.?? I know where your mind is going to take you…let’s just not go there okay??? :)?? Jim and my dad are still giving me wide eyed looks over this.?? Oops.??
