End of Series

My blog is turning into a photo blog isn’t it??? I am loving photography more and more all the time.?? Jim and I have been discussing lately if this will turn into a mid life career for me – once kids are older.?? Right now making it into a business would ruin it for me – I am already too busy and it would just overwhelm me.?? Someday though, when my own babies and nieces and nephews are older, I will need little ones to shoot so I might get desperate for a business.?? My own kids and my siblings, nieces and nephews keep me completely filled up with projects right now.?? I need to do a shoot for Ryker, family pictures for Brooke and Daniel, (Aimee do you want some family pictures too?), and an engagement shoot.?? (Got you curious??? I haven’t made that announement yet cuz I don’t have a picture of the ring!)?? Also have a list of photo shoots of my own kids I want and SOMEDAY I will need to start my DVD albums.?? That always gets pushed.?? Will be busy for awhile!??

I am finding though that some of my favorite blogs to visit are photography blogs so hopefully I will attract readers who love photography like I do .?? Are you bored to death of the same faces yet??? Hoping you just enjoy the “art” of it.?? LOL.

??

This was taken off Papa and Sweetie’s back porch.?? Dad named that mountain “Mama’s Mountain”.

??

Aren’t those bloomers adorable??? My friend Cara mailed them to me and I have yet to put her thank you card in the mail!?? (I have a whole stack of thank you cards written but I was taking my sweet time getting my favorite picture of Tori printed to put in the envelopes.?? I realized this weekend that the picture is bigger than the small envelope – duh – so now I have to readdress them.?? Pretty tacky sending out thank you cards when my daughter is 4 months old – sorry!)

Starting tomorrow I will be posting an EIGHT day seris of Amanda’s pregnancy pictures.?? I gave her about 160 pictures and I have narrowed down to about 35 to display on the blog.?? Thankfully, she gave permission to post.?? I will eventually put them in the pregnancy gallery but (a) call me vain but I like to enjoy sharing them in small groups so Heidi can ooohhh??and awww for me – sisters are great for that and (b) as you may remember, Matt and Amanda lost their year old daughter, Kambrie Grace to Miller Dieker syndrome 2 years ago – we miss her but we are also thanking the Lord that we get the blessing of opening our hearts and arms to another little miracle.?? I think he needs celebrating.?? He has been long anticpated.?? Amanda is now 36 weeks I think but keeps going into preterm so this little guy may arrive anytime now.?? The pictures were taken at about 30 weeks I think.?? Amanda??? (Note to Jodi – aren’t we just kicking ourselves that we didn’t get this done for Ryker??? Shoot a monkey!)

  1. CAN’T WAIT TO OOOO AND AAAAA! and i definitely think you’ve found your creative niche that would make a VERY lucrative career come mid-life. ๐Ÿ™‚ IMAGINE HOW GOOD YOU’LL BE BY THEN WHEN YOU ARE THIS GREAT AT IT NOW! OH MY! I’M TOTALLY JEALOUS! ๐Ÿ™‚

and love the “end of series” title with the photo of Tori’s ‘end’ closing the posting. ๐Ÿ™‚ those bloomers are daaaarling!

  2. I cannot wait to see Amanda’s pictures! Also, I can’t wait for Doni’s photography studio to come to my house:) They are such great pictures.

  3. Love the bloomers!!!!
I can’t agree with you more about loving to look at people that blog and love photography! It is the dream! I am completely addicted and shock myself with how many pictures I take sometimes. In fact I really have to get the data storage situation mastered since I have been taking so many lately!

I can’t wait to see Amanda’s pictuers. I have a pregnant friend that I want to take pictures of, but since it will be a first for me, it will completely help to see some of your examples. This is so fun!

  4. I LOVE looking at your pictures and I am sooo not getting tired of the same faces. They are getting more adorable with every shoot! It gives me ideas on what I need to do with my boys. I have a question for you about your camera. I have a digital rebel xti and no lense. I want a good all around lense, I am not sure if there is one. Any advice? I am tired of taking pictures and it looks like the kids are a mile away and I always end up losing my background. We are in Alaska and I have a ton of beauitful places I can take the boys but like I said I always eaither get the scene and lose the boys or the other way around. ๐Ÿ™

  5. Doni, you are absolutely amazing! Your pictures just keep getting better and better…as if that’s possible:). And yes, I definitely want to do a family shoot as well as pics of just Zandi & Zane together liked we talked about. And someday if you have the extra time (ha, ha!) we’ll do the wedding dress pics up north! I love the bloomers…absolutely adorable.
