So apparently the gatorade isn’t the problem.?? Since I posted last, I obviously removed gatorade from his diet.?? Every day since he has had a reoccurence of this mystery rash and he is still going through several pull ups a day.?? This part is getting better though.?? I took this picture about two hours ago right before giving him benadryl.?? Notice the arm and the side.?? It just keeps moving around.?? Every day it shows up in new spots.?? I didn’t treat with Benadry on Friday or Saturday because it stayed fairly mild and didn’t escalate and he was already on Motrin so I didn’t want to give both unless i had to.?? He was getting really dehydrated on Friday and we almost went to the ER but we finally got that under control.?? The rash though…who knows.?? This seems like it is exactly what happened to Tanner and I can’t figure it out.??

Doni, that is SO weird! Is there ANY thing else that is done differently when the kids are sick?
Hey, Doni. Have no idea if this is remotely similar, but thought I’d post. A few summers ago Carter had a rash and I took him to the dr. Our regular dr wasn’t in and the one we saw said he probably got bit by something and had an allergic reaction. The rash went away and then reappeared on the opposite side of his body. So, back into the dr we went. This time the regular dr was there and she said it was a staph infection. They can jump from place to place on the body fairly quickly. Some kids are more susceptible to them than others. She gave us antibiotics and we had to wash w/ antibacterial body soap. We still do when the spots appear and haven’t had to go on antibiotics for staff again . . . although, in the past week both kids have been on antibiotics for strep! Also, is Ty having anything else w/ blue dye in it since he’s been sick, other than gatorade? I’m hearing about more and more kids w/ allergies to dye. Courtney A
