After my customer service nightmares of late, I have been oh so affirming to all who go out of their way to do the right thing and be kind. Kindness goes such a long long way!
Jim has been particularly kind to his wife this past week. Compliments at every opportunity. This is not normal behavior for my husband who has no gushing tendencies. What’s up? Is that a question better not asked? LOL! I have told him over and over though that I like every minute of it! Keep it up good man!
He did have one slip up though. Yesterday I got out of the shower determined to pretty up. I got a phone call and was preoccupied so my hair dried before I could blow dry it. Not usually a good thing. On this fine day though my hair decided to rejoice in an interesting array of curls. Not wanting to spend more time rewetting and redrying, I decided I could live with it for the day.
I came out of the bathroom and asked Jim what he thought about my do for the day. At first, he warmed my heart when he said:
“You look just like the girl from Troy with your hair like that”.
My eyes took on a shine. Before I could utter “well thank you kind sir”, I heard the next half of his sentence…
“…right after she got beat up.”
Aaaaghhhh!!!!! The twinkle in my eye bailed out but appeared to leap straight into my dear husbands. Men!
So I left it that way…just for spite!

I never add comments but had to on that one. Too funny! I’m cracking up! Oh, & Doni, we have a new baby girl. Cailyn Brooke was born on New Years Day. Totally unexpected (just like her two brothers!) & such a precious blessing from God. I continue to be amazed at God’s faithfulness! New photos on the website soon. Happy Birthday Ty! 🙂
