Temper in a Teacup

Meet Beau (4), Beth (7 months) and Luke (2).?? These are Tom and Kristi’s kids and they are super duper cute aren’t they??? This is the first official test shoot after deciding to start a small business.?? These pictures were taken in Sept.?? I had been receiving some counsel from my mentor Liza and that got me a lot further with this shoot then in the past.?? Can’t say enough how much she has been helping me and I appreciate it more than I can say.???? Kristi and I were quite surprised at the above photo because from the looks of things…the sibling shots were going no where fast:).?? Getting all eyes in the same direction for a millisecond was a blessing indeed.

Beau and Ty were born only 3 weeks apart.??

This could be my favorite picture from the whole shoot.?? I just love Luke resting on Daddy’s guitar.?? Tom is the worship leader for our church.?? When we were in high school, Tom and I and Jay and Tony made up the church praise band.?? Tom was just learning to play the guitar and we would spend hours down at the church trying to figure out how to play every song we knew in C G and D.?? LOL.?? Fifteen years later and he finally has it down (hee hee).?? Tom is a great worship leader and I love watching his kids try to emmulate him.?? Luke just loves Daddy’s guitar.?? When I asked Kristi to let him hold it, his eyes lit up and he looked at mama and said very sincerely “THANK YOU!”?? This little expression of tender affection for this guitar is soooo real and sincere.?? I also love the way he reflected in the guitar too.??

I LOVED this picture of Beth.?? Isn’t she such a little beauty?

I LOVE this teacup picture of Beth!?? When I saw this one I frowned at my daughter hee hee!?? I tried and tried to get a big grin out of Tori in that teacup and so far have not managed it.?? Beth gave it to me in 2.5 seconds.?? Way to go elizaBETH.?? ๐Ÿ™‚

I was trying so hard to narrow down my pictures to 20 or 30 for Kristi to pick from.?? When I would come to a picture like the above though I didn’t know what to do.?? It’s probably not a mantel hanging piece but the mom in me could NOT reject it!?? My mom has pictures from Olan Mills in her hope chest of all of our family when I was in Junior High.?? Somehow she got all the proofs and they are HYSTERICAL.?? When I think back on family pictures, it is that set of bloopers that I grin the widest at in recollection.?? For this reason, I have decided that a certain number of “bloopers” need to be bonused with every session.?? Kristi told me her mom wanted a copy of all six bloopers.?? Figures.?? :)?? I would have too.?? The point of capturing the memory is in remembering that moment in time.?? This is part of the story that shouldn’t be forgotten.

And another blooper that I could NOT toss.

  1. Doni,
I just love the moments that you are capturing and sharing for all of us to enjoy! I am thrilled to take a peak at your daily shots. I really loved the action shots of your brother’s family and today’s bloopers! I love the bloopers as they really tell how life really is sometimes! The teacup picture blooper would be a great one on a birthday card or a card for an encouragement to someone with the “happy” teacup picture inside the card!
You are encouraging me to take more photos and to do more with the pictures on the computer. I just have to find time. I have a Canon Rebel XTI and have been experimenting with it more and more.
Do you take your picture in the RAW format?
You are doing a great job!
