Please pray for Landen’s baby brother Ryan. Landen was the last born for a very short time. Shortly after Landen came home from the NICU, his mommy found out baby number SIX was on the way! Ryan arrived 6 weeks early in December. He is 5 weeks old now and just barely 6 pounds.
Susie (their mamma) called today to ask for our prayers. Ryan has been projectile vomiting after every feeding. After an ultrasound today, it was determined that a portion of his digestive track is detiorating and he needs surgery. (I may be mistating his condition a bit). This surgery is scheduled for tommorow morning.
Susie continually amazes me. Out of her six children (all under 8 years of age I believe), 2 have been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, Landen was 12 weeks premature, and now this with Ryan. I have asked her how she gets through and with a smile in her voice she say’s “Taking one day at a time and laughing a lot”. She does laugh. Landen was released from the hospital recently after a case of RSV so trying to balance one child in the hospital and protecting the other…just nearly impossible.
Please pray for this sweet family and for Ryan. I’ll keep you posted.
(Remember – Landen was a 28 weeker who was a bunk mate to Ty while in the NICU)
