I LOVE PAINTING!!!!?? I figured I better make good use of this last week of school break!?????? I am trying to build up my painting portfolio so that I can post them on my business site so I had to get busy on them.?? Time consumming projects but I love projects that make you feel accomplished when your done and painting does that for me.
I saw a christmas painting awhile back ago that I loved.?? The balls were glittered and sparkling on the tree and Santa was holding a little girl in a chair in front of a mantle like mine.?? I decided to try to recreate my own version.?? It isn’t as good as the one I saw but I do like my abstracty tree (not to mention the ADORABLE little elf beside it)?? 🙂
Tori Update:?? She was up for two hours CHOKING again last night!!!?? Jim and I just laid there miserable with her.?? Stupid me forgot the benedryl and gave it to her in the middle of the night so I can’t really tell if it helped.?? I think she was “too far gone” by the time I gave it to her.?? I’ll try again tonight.?? This has got to stop!!!
Tori Funny:?? She got a little phone for Christmas and she keeps putting the earphone up to her ear and then she screams.?? Has me wondering if I raise my voice a few notches when I get on the phone??? LOL.?? It’s so cute.?? She loves loves loves to sing to.?? Everyone giggles at her during church because she just rocks her body, smiles, raises her little hands, and sings away.?? We had a New Years Eve service tonight at Church and the look of joy on her face was just so precious.
I am really looking forward to 2009!?? Hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family.

this is GORGEOUS!!!! YOU ARE JUST SO GOOD! i still want to attempt this painting for fun one day but i LOOOVE looking at yours the most. wow… amazing! the sparkle on the tree was a perfect touch.
SO sad about poor little tori girl! oh my goodness!!! ugghh… hopefully the benedryl has her having a good long rest this morning – and that that rest will have her improving more every hour.

This is just such a precious painting – this needs mounted and framed each Christmas…or better yet this should be printed as a Christmas card!!! Tanners face is just adorable. I love the sparkling Christmas tree balls and the swirl at the bottom of the tree! Great job!

i was also thinking you could finish this picture without tanner in it – background only – and use it as a pre-finished background for your business… the tree is so beautiful – other parents might want you to paint and insert their kids into the scene. 🙂
