My nephew Graham is a die hard cowboy.?? His primary interest in life is all things western.???? When I took this picture of him in October, I knew I just hit the jack pot.?? It was love at first sight for both Aunt Sissy and his mommy.?? I have been planning on painting it for awhile and last week finally got the opportunity.
Close Up:
Thought I’d try it out with a quick textured western look to (though I prefer the color version):
This picture is a composite of the following two.?? I used another free stock image for the background.
And some big news for Graham.?? He is going to be a big brother again.?? His little SISTER – Cozette Grace – AKA COZY GRACE – should make her arrival somewhere around the middle of June.?? And yes, I know that family and friends are well aware of this but it’s the first I mentioned it on the blog. ๐
After Braxytn was born, Brooke promised that she would name the next girl Cozette.?? I love it and Jim would never let me (we can’t abandon the “T” thing now you know).?? Brings back warm memories.?? When Jim and I first started dating, his mom bought us tickets to go see La Miserable.?? It was awesome!?? What a fun romantic date that was.?? One of the leading characters in La Mis is Cozette – thus Brooke’s inspiration.???? I think Cozy Grace is cute cute cute and I am already getting anxious to photograph her (and her pregnant mommy).

absolutely beautiful!
That is wonderful! I am amazed with the beauty you bring out in the person when you paint them! WOW!
As a true die hard fan of Les Miserables I just had to correct you on the spelling of the Book/musical name and in the play and book it is Cosette. As much as I like Cosette, I am an even bigger fan of Eponine. There, that’s my 2 cents. Ha Ha. I still love the name for your new niece, though. I remember you telling me at WOF.
Love the pictures.
Sure is an s Sarah. ๐
These paintings are making me super happy to see… only one a day for a week? WHAT IN THE WORLD WILL WE DO NEXT WEEK???? just beautiful… that graham is so super cute.
i love how you are adding the backgrounds – it just brightens the color so beautifully for these paintings.
Actually I did know that Sarah LOL – but because we are going to call her Cozy – we made the z change. I didn’t distinguish that in my post though – figures you’d notice hee hee.
gorgeous, once again!! He is so cute!
These paintings are just gorgeous!
And even with all the right equipment, the graphics programs, the digital drawling tablet.. i can still not figure out how to do it! lol
Even with the links you shared!
You are just talented!
Beautiful. I really like the western look. It is just so Graham.
Beautiful! I am partial to the sepia toned one. Love the cowboy!
I think that little precious Graham is beyond adorable. Not only did you capture our “cowboy” – you pictured him in such a way that you can’t take your eyes off of him. His little face is just so deliciously represented here, I even love that he isn’t smiling – just a beautiful, innocent darling pose. And look at his hands – oh my goodness. Linked just so to hold onto that hat. I’m glad you are showing close up’s. You colored his lips PERFECT! (Ok, I know that it sounds like I am bragging…you bet I am. I’ve been proud of you since the day I yelled it on my high school bus – it’s a GIRL!!!!! Aunt’s are allowed to brag ๐
