Our little Edie girl is due in TWO days! ??Yay!!! ??Can’t wait to see her and Aunt Sissy is hoping for another GINGER. ??We need MORE! ??These shots of mama Jamie were taking almost exactly a month ago (so Jamie was 36 weeks).
Oh how I love our little Lucy (and I love how she calls me Aunt Cee Cee). ??Sadly, my schedule and Shane’s schedule were not coming together so we weren’t able to capture Daddy in this session but Lucy stood in for him and she did a bang up job. ?? She had me laughing so hard. ?? Few toddlers have a personality this big.
I think the shot above might be my favorite of Lucy (or as Troy says, “Woosy”).
When I was 16, Jamie was born. ??I had so much fun with her as a toddler. ??Like Lucy, Jamie’s personality filled up the room (still does). ??I would sing and play with her (I taught Jamie her first word – doggie), watch her movies (Little Mermaid over and over and over and over) and I thought everything she did was the most adorable thing I ever saw. ?? So….on our shoot when Lucy started singing frozen songs for me, I was over the moon. ??I decided to “run and gun” this??as she danced and sang because I knew that I was going to get some pretty fantastic moments out of her. ??Oh so funny. ??Not every 2 year old will perform but Lucy loves an audience. ?? Just so you know, she is singing Love is an Open Door from Frozen in all these shots.
And…I gotta be honest…I just felt like my Jamie really needed to perform as well. ??I think I had too much doing this session.
“Love Is An Open Door”
(with Santino Fontana)
And then suddenly I bump into you
[Hans:]
I was thinking the same thing! ‘Cause like
I’ve been searching my whole life to find my own place
And maybe it’s the party talking or the chocolate fondue
[Anna:] [giggles]
[Anna:] But with you…
[Hans:] But with you
[Hans:] I found my place…
[Anna:] I see your face…
[Both:]
And it’s nothing like I’ve ever known before!
Love is an open door!
Love is an open door!
Love is an open door!
[Anna:] With you!
[Hans:] With you!
[Anna:] With you!
[Hans:] With you!
[Both:] Love is an open door…
[Hans:] I mean it’s crazy…
[Anna:] What?
[Hans:] We finish each other’s-
[Anna:] Sandwiches!
[Hans:] That’s what I was gonna say!
[Anna:] I’ve never met someone-
[Both:]
Who thinks so much like me!
Jinx! Jinx again!
Our mental synchronization
Can have but one explanation
[Hans:] You-
[Anna:] And I-
[Hans:] Were-
[Anna:] Just-
[Both:] Meant to be!
[Anna:] Say goodbye…
[Hans:] Say goodbye…
[Both:]
To the pain of the past
We don’t have to feel it anymore!
Love is an open door!
Love is an open door!
Life can be so much more!
[Anna:] With you!
[Hans:] With you!
[Anna:] With you!
[Hans:] With you!
[Both:] Love is an open door…
[Hans:] Can I say something crazy?
[Anna:] [giggles]
[Hans:] Will you marry me?
[Anna:] Can I say something even crazier? Yes!

DONI, (I’m not yelling, I’m screaming!) I LOVE THIS PHOTO SHOOT! Both Jamie and Lucy, you captured both beauty and fun and sweetness all in this one session. I’m sad Shane wasn’t there but think it is so precious that he really wanted Jamie and Edie to have their moment captured! And yes, I agree Doni… Lucy definitely has Jamie’s dramatic flare. Thank you for this treasure. This Mimi and Papa couldn’t be more excited!
Oh Doni you have done it again these photos are amazing. Jamie is glowing!!! She is so beautiful. Little Lucy is adorable. Love them all
