It is Saturday night 8:00PM and I am in the hospital with my little darling.?? We were transferred out of the ER via PMT services last night at 10:00.?? All the beds in the hospital we were at were full as were all beds in several valley hospitals.?? Thankfully, we ended up at a really nice hospital (who now has all beds full as well).?? Tori is doing well all things considered.?? She is off oxygen now and holding her own.?? I think getting her well hydrated, fever treatment, and regular suctioning has really improved her state though she is very irritable and has slept a good percentage of the day still.
She is awake and playing with a toy in her hospital crib now.?? I doubt she’ll stay happy long but I will attempt to detail course of events leading up to this.?? May have to have a part two later.????
As you know, she has been having intermittent nightly coughing attacks since November which her Dr. attributed to possible allergies.?? On Wed night she had a particularly bad attack.?? I finally put her in bed with us to calm her down.?? She threw up all over the bed and had a fever of 102 (ear so it was actually higher).?? She threw up again a few minutes later.???? Both times were due to coughing.?? It seemed she had contracted a virus in addition to the continuing allergy problem.
She had a pretty miserable night and Thursday was very sleepy and co-dependent but she did play a bit.?? Thursday night there was still a fever which I was treating with Motrin but no coughing.?? Friday morning it was evident that we were headed down hill.?? She had no energy at all and didn’t want to do anything.?? Her fever was high and was still treating with Motrin.??
She didn’t get down and play at all.?? Wanting mommy all day.?? After lunch she was just so tired so I thought I would try laying her in her crib awhile to give her some space.?? She fell right asleep.?? Occasionally I would hear wimpering but was waiting for her to go back to sleep – clearly she needed it.?? Ty (THANKFULLY) went in to check on her and he came in to tell me she was awake.?? He normally gets in trouble for this but this time…baby upset more later

Doni, thanks for the update….we are praying for all of you……. Love, Heather
So glad to hear she is doing better. Thank you for the update. Are you at least at a hospital reasonably close to your house or are your closer to my neck of the woods? Luke is having major respitory issues today and I am thinking we will be heading to an urgent care sometime soon.
Doni failed to mention that she is not leaving the hospital and has hardly slept since she got there AND Jim, Tanner and Ty are all starting to get sick too. They are in an excellent hospital with top notch care and attentive staff, just not much of a chair for a tired mom. Thanks for your prayers for them.

Doni’s in Mom crisis mode she’s not leaving her sick baby for anything. She will definately need some back up to get some rest once the worst is over and she can let her guard back down.
Its amazing what you can endure when you’re in Mom crisis mode.
I’m glad they’re at a good hospital.
Doni – thanks for the update. I’ve been thinking of you all day and Txting Heidi to see if she’d heard from you.
