Sunday Update

Tori seeming a little worse today.?? Last night after her crazy crib bit, she spiked a fever at 102.8.?? No wonder whe was so restless and agitated – she was on her way downhill again.?? She fevered during the night and slept very still.?? She didn’t really wake up until just a minute again.?? Susie is at the hospital with me holding her so I can post this real quick.?? So she slept 13 straight hours – hopefully the rest will help her.?? Dr. confirmed this morning that she DOES have pneumonia as well as RSV.?? No plans to leave hospital today.?? I think if we keep the fever under control, she will at least feel better.?? She seems real miserable right now.?? Her sats aren’t bad though so she is at least getting enough 02.?? On a good note – I GOT A ROCKER THIS MORNING!?? So nice!?? Yeah!?? That will help mama’s coping skills.??

P.S.?? Jim, Tanner and Ty all feeling pretty terrible and Ty’s cough is getting worse.?? At 5, I think he should be able to handle RSV (assuming he has it) well.???? I always question because of his lung damage but he never has had a real lung problem post his oxygen days so hopefully he will be fine.

Baby needs mama so update over for now.?? Thank you for your comments and prayers.??

  1. Doni…I don’t want to scare you…but Kynzer got RSV when he was 5(a yr. ago)and got very sick with it. Literally within minutes he was very sick…thank God we were at the doctors office when he started going downhill. Even though Ty has been healthy…RSV is BAD for a past preemie. It scares me to death when I think back to how sick Kynzer got real quick.
    Praying for ya’ll!!

  2. I am home getting some things for my night at the hospital. I will have to remember the rocker. Luke has pnumonia as well. He was asleep when I left and his sats were 92 with oxygen prongs set at 2. Which is low but a whole lot better than 84 like it was this morning. He is also burning up with a fever. I will be thinking about you tonight. It helps knowing you are just across town dealing with the same thing. Love ya, Sarah

  3. I just realized when i posted a comment above i posted as YOU as i’d not logged out. 🙂 if you read this – let me know… jennifer c had an idea that might work for you: – from jennifer:

oh my goodness. Sam had RSV when he was 5 weeks. I can’t imagine going thru that w/ a mobile baby. He stayed in the crib all zipped up w/ oxygen and moist air. Oh the stuff they suction out smells so bad. It really is awfully thick.

HJ- IDEA for Doni…. The hospital was full last week when we were there w/ Graham thus no pull out beds. I purchased twin blow up mattresses from Walmart and we slept on them. Very comfortable! I imagine w/ all the camping they do that someone in the family would have one close by. Half of mine was actually up under Graham’s hospital bed because of the size of the room but so much better than sleeping in a chair.

  4. Poor Tori! I have been watching for an update. I am sorry to hear she is feeling so bad. It is good that she is resting (and I hope mama is resting at least a little bit, too). I am thinking of all of you.

  5. Glad you got the rocker. Still praying for your entire family, especially Tori. Wish I could help you!!

  6. Thank you ladies for all your sweet words. Heidi – it took me a minute to figure out how I had developed a multiple personality disorder and was posting notes to myself but I finally figured it out LOL. Jenn – Thanks for the text and note. If I stay in her much longer, I definitely need to explore the air mattress idea. Sleeping on their hard pull out chair or a rocker is not fun.

  7. I heard about Tori on Saturday, and began to pray that day and have continued to do so, not only for Tori, but for you and the whole family. George will be praying for her and all of you as well. Looking forward to some positive reports!
