I took these pictures on Monday night when baby girl was feeling much better.?? I think they serve as pretty good evidence that she was ready for HOME at that point.
If I just push hard enough……….grrrrrrrrrrrr…
Someone TURN THIS OFF!?? The constant dinging is driving me crazy!
Does this face belong behind bars??? (And for the record she spent very LITTLE time in that crib – trust me).
It took about six attempts to get her IV in and she had to have two of them.?? Her veins are very tiny and she was so dehydrated they kept blowing.?? She was drinking okay that day but her fevers were so so so high that they dehydrated much more than I realized.
I love the way Tori points with her palm up.?? She does this all the time.
I am glad I didn’t have my camera prior to Monday because those pictures would be too sad to look at.?? More tomorrow.?? (And NO…I didn’t leave her there with that crib rail half down.?? I was standing by her crib for pictures).
P.S.?? I feel miserable.?? Shoot.

Glad she’s home now and feeling better! I hope you feel better soon too! I will keep praying for you.
The “face behind bars” is way too cute! and no she doesn’t belong there. That IV arm makes me sad, poor kiddo. They had wrapped Devin’s whole arm (hand to just below elbow) with that sticky stretchy tape that they use when they draw blood so it almost looked like he had a brigth blue cast on.
I’m so sorry you have the sickness now! I pray your entire household is well soon!
Such sweet pictures. Luke’s first IV attempt resulted in a collapsed vein. He did dry real hard yesterday when they removed all the tape from around his arm. So glad all our babies are home. I pray you feel better soon.
Is it bad that I think those pictures are just adorable? So glad she’s home! I’m sorry you’ve got the crud now. Praying for you!
Oh Doni these pictures are too cute. But the behind bars one is the best. Glad to hear she is doing better. Sad to hear that you are not doing well. This cold is so bad I am going on having it for 3 weeks now. Plus the kids I nanny for have it too. Praying you get better soon.
Daughter, the mark of a great photographer is to capture an image in a moment that tells the whole story. The pictures speak for themselves. Sorry to say I can confirm Shannon’s prognosis, I an going on 4 weeks with this cold/cough.
beautiful.
on the iv/tape… DIDN’T SHE HATE HAVING THAT TAPE PULLED OFF? i think the tape ripping off is worse than getting blood drawn. i ALWAYS request the stretchy non-stick stuff. i realize they probably can’t do that for babies ivs but man, didn’t she’ freak when that stuff ripped off????
