Congratulations Ann!?? There were over 500 votes in this contest and the point spread between the entries was averaged quite nicely.?? ;)?? There was an 8 vote difference between first and second place and a 5 point difference tie between 2nd and 3rd place.?? I NEVER expected that many votes to come in.?? If I do a contest like this again, I’ll use something more automated.?? Jim and I counting and ticking got old after the first 100 lol!
Ann, would you please email me the original picture in its full size??? A lot of people were really moved by this picture and I am sure will appreciate “the story”.???? If you could email me the story behind this picture, I will post it.?? It may take me a couple of weeks before I post the painting so be patient with me.?? 😉

woohoo! (next time a poll will be much easier than counting!!!) ann’s picture is so precious… will be beautiful painted. i’m sure it will be a challenge to you Doni – being different from the faces of children you’ve painted so much – but no doubt will be perfect for your skills and creative eye! i can hardly wait to see it. (i wonder if it will end up being easier than faces?) at any rate… can’t wait to see it AND to hear ann’s story.
This was my second favorite after Taylors picture. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.
