Last Thursday and Friday Jim took a couple of vacation days.?? I declared both of those days plus Sat and Sun my birthday weekend.?? :)?? On Thursday, we took the kids over to my parents to stay the night.?? First night that Tori has been left over night and Ty has only been away from me overnight a couple of times.?? I was surprised at the level of anxiety I had the whole time.?? Papa finally told me that I was NOT allowed to call and bug him again.?? Don’t know what got in to me.?? Just not used to having my chickadees away from me.?? I think they loved the break however.?? 🙂
Anyhow, instead of going on a “date”, I decided I wanted Olive Garden take out and some rentals.?? We started back on the Netflix program (we have been playing the field with Netflix and Blockbuster back and forth for years).?? The biggest factor for switching was that Netflix now has over 12,000 movies that you can download to your X-box (or internet) and watch free with a subscription (as well as the two out in the mail).?? Good times.?? We rented a couple of the Tom Sellek Jesse Stone series.?? As a former Magnum PI fan, I have a special spot in my heart for Tom.?? Jim introduced me to this small town Sherriff series and I have really liked them.?? We also watched The Secret Life of Bees and The Changeling (why oh why did I watch THAT when my kids were gone!).
On Friday we went with my mom, Aunt Karen, and Jenna to the zoo.?? I didn’t take any animal pictures – my own little monkeys were far more entertaining.?? Post some of those later in the week.
Saturday we drove up to Prescott.?? I love Prescott and the alleyways in Prescott are GREAT for pictures.?? Pictures on tonight’s blog taken there.?? I wasn’t doing a formal shoot of the kids…mostly just trying to take pictures so I would remember places I like for future reference.?? It was too bright in the day for an optimal shoot and the kids were busy and didn’t want to cater to mom.???? A couple of weeks ago I did a shoot up there of four adult women.?? If I get model releases on them, I’ll post a few.??
Tori is really wishing she had a larger vocabularly.?? Her yelling and finger pointing is getting quite dramatic.?? She is pointing to her eyes and nose now in recognition but her favorite game is still peek a boo.?? She says “Pee Bah”.?? She also really likes Baker’s Man thanks to Sweetie.?? Sweetie says she can say “quack” and “baby” too.?? 🙂
The biggest giggle though is when she says “bi-dah bi-dah bi-dah bi-dah bi-dah” over and over.?? We think she invented this so she could sound conversational.??
She seems to be feeling better but I am now noticing excema rashes.?? Brooke told me that excema is often food allergy related and it started about the time I switched her to whole milk so now I am wondering about this.
Enough rambling.?? Off to bed.
P.S.?? Much to my mother and Jim’s dismay – I can’t help it – I DO like Adam Lambert.

i like Adam, too. it’s okay to like him–he’s a great singer & quite a showman, too! not sure i like the Elvis hair, though..

it is so funny about adam… i don’t actually enjoy his voice… still… and yet i just love that guys talent! HE WAS SMOKIN’ AGAIN LAST NIGHT! THAT GUY HAS SOME INCREDIBLE TALENT – STAGE-PRESENCE – AND RANGE!!! GOOD GRAVY! I kept thinking, man, now THAT is a gift…talk about a GIFTING… I don’t think you can learn what that guy has. Amazing. (And like Meg, I like his ‘normal’ hair better than Elvis hair)
i love the locale of your pics above… light-shmight… just too cool a location to care… and the strong shadows work well for an urban look (i know it’s not always perfect for faces… but i even like that in these images… but then again, you had incredible models to work with… so what’s not to like no matter what????) 🙂

I SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU NOT TO WATCH IT!!!! it’s one of those movies that i got too far into and HAD to keep watching as i was desperate for a happy ending… BUT IT SEEMED LIKE IT JUST KEPT GETTING WORSE AND WORSE! i had to have jason forward through the most horrible scenes as i just couldn’t stand it. (i just spelled scenes “seens” and had to correct it – can you tell i’m not awake before noon???) 🙂 amazing what that woman did for her city and the other women there… but NOT the storyline i was expecting in MANY ways. downer.
eczema… seth had some of those and i narrowed it down to a lotion we were using, oddly enough… was one i used but stopped any lotion with his first break out…. only used it on and off after that… after months of not using it then taking a travel size of the same kind (burt’s bees baby lotion) on vacation, i found out THAT was it. he woke up the night after we used it solid red wherever it touched… ended up on benedryl the whole time we were there with family… THREW THAT STUFF IN THE TRASH so it’d never happen again. aside from that, his eczema just went away! when he did get dry, creams like aquifor (is that right?) and eucerin CREAM and creamy vaseline worked nicely.
oh – and love the bi-dah… reminds me of “yada yada yada” – i nnnneeeeed tori time. 🙂
I am a huge Adam fan too. It’s kind of a strange attraction to be honest:). I am mesmerized when I watch him sing! Little Tori is such a doll, and ALL girl…love the way she is trying to be conversational. I do really like the background on those pics too, urban is definitely my favorite. I second Heidi on the Eucerin…it’s the only thing that works for Zane’s eczema (at least that’s otc). Occasionaly I have to get him a script from the doctor if it’s really bad. Glad you had such a wonderful birthday weekend!
I’m glad you had a great birthday weekend. Love the pics of the kiddos as always…but HOW can you like Adam??? Haha! Oh he just bothers me… Can you tell? I’m a big Kris Allen and Matt Giurad (sp?) fan. I just like that style. I like Anoop too, I just don’t expect that voice when it comes out of him. I think he’s got a great personality too. Well thats my two AI cents 🙂
