I am allergic to cats so I can’t say I am a fan HOWEVER, I think kittens are the cutest of God’s furry creatures.?? The very cutest.?? Tom and Pam had four kittens and Tori and Tanner were having a grand ole time playing with them.?? This particular one had the most beautiful eyes.?? Personally, I prefer a calico but this little one was a beauty too.?? Tori was pretty much a menace when it came to those kittens.?? You can see it in the pictures of her playing with them.

Yesterday 16 of us went to Bartlett lake for the day.?? It was a beautiful day with gorgeous weather.?? Tanner got to tube behind Uncle David’s boat for the first time with me.?? Once I was out behind that boat I was itching for a ski really bad!?? It has been so long since I have water-skied but I love it and miss it.?? Post kids, there haven’t been a lot of ski opportunities (water or snow).?? When I was little, us kids spent a lot of time on the lake.?? We had a ski boat and a pontoon and would drag both of them up to the lake so we could camp on the water for several days.?? My mother was a brave woman.?? I can’t imagine allowing my five to sleep on a boat but then again, my kids don’t swim – we did.???? My parents forced us to be on a swim team when I was little and I HATED it but I am so grateful because to this day I LOVE THE WATER and am not (personally) afraid of it.???? Tori thought it was great.?? She is a die hard for the water and played in it all day.

We had a bit of a bee problem though and I have some Sissy Mary SILs when it comes to insects so I kept insisting that they “GET CONTROL” (wink on Brooke who missed me passing on that phrase).?? On my beach watch, the bees were standing down and minding their own business happily humming near the coke cans.?? Lines started being drawn in the sand though once the screaming and running and swatting started so I was trying to avoid a brutal skirmish between camps by keeping everyone calm.???? At one point, another lake camper who looked like an extremely grungy version of Santa (EXTREMELY grungy), came to talk to me.?? As we were speaking, Tori (standing behind me) starts screaming her little head off.?? Snap!?? She got stung by a bee (I thought)!?? Nope.?? She was sounding the stranger danger alarm.?? She didn’t like anyone she didn’t know talking to her mom.?? She would start the sobbing all over everytime the poor man would come near us and start talking.?? LOL.?? Silly girls.?? (And no one did get stung by the way).
