I wanted pictures with the sunflowers but they had just begun to wilt from the heat so I had to use the geraniums instead.
Conversations with Zane (Zandi and Zane have been at my house two days).
Zane:?? I obey my mom.
Aunt Sissy:?? I am so glad that you do.
Zane:?? Well sometimes I am naughty…but….I am really trying.?? Really really tryin.
LOL.?? He is four.
Zane:?? Aunt Sissy.?? I am a good boy.?? A real good boy.?? I am really tryin.
Those that know my little Zane will get much more out of this because you can visualize his big eyed expressions and serious little face when he tells me such things.?? Got a couple of cute pictures of him today that I’ll show ya later.
Diaper update:?? Last night I was tired and didn’t duct tape her.?? After laying in bed about an hour I hear her whining and grunting.?? This goes on until I can’t take it anymore.?? I go in to check and her.?? Naked.?? Again.?? Trying to work the last little footie off and grunting.?? And yes, she had wet the bed already.?? So I followed your advice and put the duct tape back on and put a footless jammie on her zipped up backwards.?? I woke up to a baby wearing clothing and sighed with relief.?? Heidi suggested I buy pink duct tape though because all I have right now is camo.?? 🙂

hee hee hee…. (the duct tape – NOT the taking off the clothes)… by the way – just thought of this – have you let her sit on the potty yet? i’m not talking OFFICIAL POTTY TRAINING, i’m talking like i did with seth – when he woke up, was about to go to sleep, got in or out of the tub… for a while he almost ALWAYS pottied in those times… wonder if she would be doing a happy dance for herself and maybe it would reduce the # of potential leaks? she might just want some control in this area and giving her the opportunity would offer that.
ok didn’t mean to say all that…
SUCH precious pictures of cozy… such a bummer about the sunflowers… but she looks beautiful all the same. 🙂

I’m gonna ask a dumb question that I hope doesn’t offend. What matter does the color of duct tape make? I mean, no one else is going to see it, right? I’m just following this because I’m oddly happy we were not the only parents who had to resort to this-although I am sorry for you. I can just SO relate. Except for the color thing cause plain ole cheap gray works just as well.
Because I believe in pink Kathy. 🙂 I have spent quite a bit of time, money, and effort transforming my blue house into one that includes lovely shades of pink. My daughters closet is packed full of pink. Now…she is defying me by refusing to wear clothes during the day. She strips down to her diaper every morning so I have given up and most of the day her diaper is her only attire. Therefore, it at least needs to be decorated with PINK because I see it all day long! 🙂
Okay, that makes sense now:) Hopefully the phase will end soon.
